Benson & Langehough (507) 645-5123 From his funeral program: He was baptized at Richfield Lutheran Church and attended Woodlake School. At the age of 12, he moved with his family to a farm near Crystal Lake in Lakeville. He was confirmed at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Lakeville and attended Lakeville High School. After his education he farmed with his father and later worked on various farms in the area. He married Beulah Genevieve Ellingboe on June 16, 1936, at Christiania Lutheran Church in rural Lakeville. After marriage, they farmed and Lloyd also worked for a time at Swift & Company and the Lakeville Creamery. They farmed near Castle Rock until 1960 when they moved to Northfield. Lloyd worked as a mechanic for Rydberg Implement until retiring in 1973. After retirement he worked for a number of years for his son Ken at the Standard Oil Gas Station and later with his son Charles at the Northfield Foundry. Lloyd was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church. He enjoyed gardening, flowers, and fishing. He was a hardworking man with a kind and generous nature. Survivors include his wife of 70 years, Beulah; 4 children: Carol Brenner of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Edwin and wife Rev. Peggy of Tillamook, Oregon, Sharon Ann Satre of St. Paul, Charles of Northfield; his daughter-in-law, Sylvia Luckman of Faribault; 13 grandchildren: Darla (Alex) Hanson, Steven Luckman, Susan (Ed) Narewski, Donna (Ed) Gensemer, James Brenner, Brandon (Julie) Luckman, Michael and Joseph Satre, William, Ryan, Genevieve, Bridget, and Cheyenne Luckman; 12 great-grandchildren; one sister, Jeanette Severson of Roseville; nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his son, Kenneth; his parents, and three brothers: Robert, Walter, and Roy. Lloyd passed away Wednesday morning, December 27, 2006, at the Three Links Care Center in Northfield at the age of 95. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 3, 2007, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Northfield with Rev. Mark Johnson officiating. Music will provided by Randy Ellingboe and Ruth Ferguson. Interment will be in Northfield Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Brandon, Steve, William and Ryan Luckman, Michael and Joseph Satre. Visitation will be 4-8PM Tuesday, January 2, 2006, at the Benson & Langehough Funeral Home in Northfield. Visitation will continue on Wednesday at the church one hour prior to the service.
