  Notes	A grandson of Andrew and Randi Thompson named William Carel was living with them at the time of the 1900 census (June 17th). He was born in February of 1890 in Minnesota. His father was born in Sweden. Carl was apparently recorded earlier (June 5th) with his parents’ household in Minneapolis. In the 1910 census, he is living at home and his occupation is shown as laborer at odd jobs. He registered for the draft on June 5, 1917, in Minneapolis. He lived at 2841 11th Avenue South with his wife and child. He was employed as a street car conductor by the Twin City Rapid Transit Company. He was described as of medium height and slim build with blue eyes and light hair. He is Carl A. Wilson in the 1920 census, age 29 and living in Columbia Heights, Anoka County. His wife Gertrude is 28 and his son Stanley is 3. Carl’s occupation is boilermaker helper at railroad shop. In the 1930 census, Carl and his family are renting a duplex at 3119 Hayes Street in Ward 9 of the city of Minneapolis. Carl is 40, Gertrude is 38, Stanley is 13, and Dorothy M. is 8. Carl is a boiler washer in the steam railroad industry. An article in the Star on March 2, 1940, describes how he was held up, perhaps at gunpoint, by three men who “roughed” him up and stole his wallet containing $14 in cash. Lived at 707 27th Avenue S.E. at the time of his death. His spouse’s name is shown as Anna and she was the informant for the information on his death certificate. He died of asphyxia caused by a massive pulmonary hemorrhage aggravated by lung cancer.
