  Notes	In the 1892 Minneapolis city directory, he was a turner for Standard Sash & Door Co. He lived at 3140 15th Avenue S. At the time of the 1900 census (June 5th), Adolph and Mary were living at 1914 8th Street South in an apartment that they rented in a multi-family dwelling. Adolph’s occupation was wood turner. He and his parents were born in Sweden. The household consisted of Adolph, 38 (born October 1861), Mary, 33 (born February 1867), George, 12 (born August 1887), Carl, 10 (born February 1890), Ragna, 7 (born February 1893), and Alma, 4 (born October 1895). All the children were born in Minnesota, Mary and her parents were born in Norway. Mary had had 4 children, all four still living. Adolph came to this country in 1882, Mary in 1878. In the 1903 Minneapolis city directory, he was a turner for Smith & Wyman. He lived at 2023 21st Avenue S. In the 1905 Minnesota census, the family lived at 1406 22nd Street in Minneapolis. Adolph was a wood turner, George was a teamster. Mary’s sister, 28 year-old Belle Thompson, a tailor, is living with the family. In the 1908 Minneapolis city directory, he was a machine operatory. He lived at 1406 E 22nd Street. In the 1909 Minneapolis city directory, he is Adolph Willson, a machine operator living at 1406 E. 22nd Street. In the 1910 census (mis-indexed as Hillson), the family lives in a two-family dwelling at 1406 21st Street in Minneapolis. Adolph is a wood-turner working in a factory. All the children are still living at home. Included in the household is Adolph’s brother-in-law, John A. Thompson. In the 1920 census (January 3rd), Adolph and his family were living at 1406 E. 22nd Street in Minneapolis. The family consisted of Adolph, 57, Mary, 55, Rena J., 26, Alma E., 24, and Mary’s mother, Randi Thompson, 88. Adolph is a wood turner at a furniture company, Rena is a manager at an adding machine company, and Alma is a stenographer at an adding machine company. Adolph is shown as having come to this country in 1885; Mary and her mother in 1877. They lived at 3338 Oakland at the time of Knud Thompson’s death in 1921. In the 1930 census (April 15-16), Adolph and his family were living at 3338 Oakland in Minneapolis. The family consisted of Adolph, 69, Mary, 64, Rena J., 37, and Alma, 34. Adolph owned his home, worth $1500, and the family had a radio. Adolph was first married when he was 24; Mary when she was 19. The girls were single and worked as stenographers: Alma at a dental laboratory and Rena at a knitting mill. Adolph is shown as a wood turner at a sash and door manufacturing facility. Adolph came to this country in 1882, Mary in 1877.
