      In the 1940 census, she was living at home in Montevideo with her parents. She had no occupation and was a student.

      In the 1950 Minneapolis city directory, she was a physician and lived at 2615 Park Avenue, apartment 302.

      The Bergh-Anderson files call her Solveig Margaret Lenore Bergh.

      Bergh, Solveig Margaret, MD Born September 6, 1911 and went to Glory on December 19, 2006. Affectionately known as Dodie to her family and friends, she was a loving, generous aunt to her survivors - Margaret L. Bergh, Dr. George S. Bergh, Jr. and his wife Maxine, grand nieces and nephews, Christina Bergh Robbins (Andrew), David George Bergh (Stephanie), George S. Bergh, III (Jessi) and Michael Stephenson Bergh (Anny), great-great-nieces and nephews, Lucia Robbins, Madeline and Grace Bergh, Claudia Bergh, and Tobias, Elijah and Justus Bergh, plus many other relatives and friends. Dodie was a medical doctor specializing in radiology and practiced for many years with her brother, surgeon Dr. George S. Bergh, Sr., who along with his wife, Patricia and their daughters, Nancy and Barbara, preceded her in death. She leaves a legacy of love, generosity, humor and many beautifully knit sweaters, stockings, needlepoint pillows, ornaments and pictures. She will be fondly remembered. Funeral followed by reception 11 AM Tuesday, December 26, 2006 at the THOMSON- DOUGHERTY MANSION 2535 Park Avenue, Minneapolis. Visitation begins at 10 AM. Interment Lakewood Cemetery.       From the U of Minnesota Medical Foundation newsletter: SOLVEIG M. BERGH, M.D., Class of 1938, Minneapolis, died December 6, 2006, at age 95. Dr. Bergh practiced radiology for many years and worked closely with her late brother and surgeon, Dr. George S. Bergh Sr. She was preceded in death by her brother and two nieces and is survived by one niece, one nephew, four grand-nieces and nephews, and six great-grand nieces and nephews.

      She had wanted to marry a fellow medical school classmate named Eck but her father would not allow the marriage.
