  Notes	Her name is Maria in the birth register. Jack said that his mother called Hans’s wife Anna. Came to this country in 1895 in the 1930 census although her sister Anna is shown has having emigrated in 1899. Her husband was the informant for her death certificate. She died of pneumonia after a stroke (apoplexy). She had been in the city for 46 years. Her residence at the time of her death was 126 Channing. She had severe arthritis, perhaps rheumatoid. Hans was very protective of Marie according to Diane.
